When I first discovered Fresh Body Market, one of the first products that caught my eye was the Cherry Papaya Body Spread. The scent just sounded like it would so incredibly yummy smelling and I love body butter type moisturizers. So I did not hesitate to order it. Unfortunately, I don't care for it.
About the Product
The body spread is a pretty light pink moisturizer. It appears to be very solid and almost hard in the container. The scent does not remind me of cherries or papaya. It just has a generic sweet scent so I was very disappointed because the scent was what I was looking forward to the most.
The body spread is packaged in a small flat tub. The packaging is very unremarkable. Like other products from Fresh Body Market, it looks like a small deli container. It only contains 3 oz. It costs $8 and I have only seen it available online at freshbodymarket.com.
My Experience
I tried applying some of the body spread after my shower and I was surprised how hard the moisturizer was. I really had to apply pressure and did my fingers in there to get some of the product. Then applying it to my skin was not easy either. It smeared like a thick white mess all over my skin and took quite a bit of effort to get it to disappear and absorb. It felt thick and heavy and I just didn't enjoy it at all.
I suppose it is very moisturizing and that's good, but it is way too heavy and difficult to apply. There are other moisturizers that provide tons of moisture without all the trouble.
The scent was a big disappointment in the container. It was just a generic sweet scent. No cherry. No papaya. Once applied to the skin, it really had no scent at all. It just faded away completely. There is no fun in that! If I buy an exotic fruity moisturizer, I want it to smell like it!
All in all, I was disappointed with this product. It was a huge let down.
