Since my 4 month old cute and cuddly kitten, Dalton doesn't like to many canned cat foods, I thought maybe he would like one with fish in it. I mean all cats like fish don't they? Not my little furry friend. In fact I have only found one flavor he likes, out of the 6 my 2 fur friends have tried so far.

When on a recent trip to my local Pet Supplies Plus, I picked up a few fishy flavors for my 2 fur friends back home. At only .33/can, you can't go wrong, even if you have a picky kitty. Friskies Salmon Dinner is medium brown in color and comes out of the can easily with a fork, and has very little gravy. Breaking it up with a fork, will give your kitties tiny morsels to munch on.

When I opened up Friskies Salmon Dinner using the pull back tab, Ariel and Dalton came running into the kitchen once the smell of fish hit their noses. Friskies Salmon Dinner is medium brown in color and comes out of the can easily with a fork, and breaks up easily, for smaller bites. Friskies Salmon Dinner does have a fishy smell, but it's not overwhelming, just enough to let your kitties know it's time to eat.

Ariel, as always ate hers up. Dalton, watched Ariel eat, went over and sniffed at it, then just sat back and watched Ariel gobble hers and some of Dalton's. I'm convinced Dalton is one picky kitty or he just does not like canned cat food that looks like cat food. He liked the beef in gravy flavor, probably because it looks like something we might eat.

I feed more two cats canned cat food for a treat from their regular dry food. Usually 2 times a week, and half a can each. Friskies says you can feed your cats half a can, twice a day, everyday if you prefer. Since many of the canned cat foods have by-products in it, I feed it to them as a treat only.

Recommendations

Even though my picky kitty, Dalton, doesn't like it, I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a picky kitty. The smell is pleasant, and it provides your kitty with the nutrients they need to be happy, healthy and all the energy they need to run through your house. You can buy Friskies Salmon Dinner just about anywhere, pet stores, grocery stores, discount stores. If you have a kitty who doesn't seem to enjoy food with by-products, I wouldn't buy it.
