FRONTLINE Plus is an excellent product. If someone tells you different, tell'em to , "GO-SCRATCH...!!"

Pros:Easy to use and really works every time.
Cons:Last a month, this lazy guy would like the application to last all summer.
The Bottom Line: I've tried a couple of cheaper brands that kinda look alike, no deal. Frontline is the only one that does the job.
My dog has fleas. I'll say it again, My dog has fleas. I went to my vet after using many assorted potions, lotions and collars. He gave me some Frontline Plus for my Cockapoo of two years. Fleas are attracted to him like no other dog I ever owned and I have had four.

The product did the job and I was happy. So was doggie. I was amazed at how well it worked and for weeks there wasn't a sign of a problem. All seemed fine after that one application of Frontline Plus for Dogs.
Unfortunately I didn't read the directions and follow up with another application on my dog a month later. At about that same time I was bringin' little guy to his groomer. He wasn't scratching and to be honest I didn't check him for fleas either. I'm talking about my dog and not the groomer. As I walked in the door and handed doggie over to his groomer, she handed him right back. "Your dog has fleas." Nah, can't be, I just put stuff on him last month. Well sweety she said, "Your dog has fleas." I looked and had to admit, "My dog has fleas."
This time it was the groomer who said, I can treat him now and you can bring him back in three days. I asked what he would be treated with, She told me a product, Frontline Plus for Dogs was the best an the only one she recommends. Though I still had two applications at home, I told her to do it and she did and three days later little guy was groomed and I didn't recognize him when I went to pick him up.
Frontline Plus for Dogs
The product comes packaged in a three application box that has three tube like containers that have the liquid product in them. Check out the weight of your dog before making the purchase. The product is sold for different weight doggies. The box states the product is fast acting, kills ticks including those that may transmit lyme disease, and waterproof.
The ingredients are listed and there is a warning to keep out of reach of children. There's a list of many more benefits of the product on the inside cover. The last on the list note the product is...
...Convenient to use...and it is.
There are three steps.
1. Remove Applicator from the Child resistant package. Use scissors. Or lift and remove plastic tab to expose foil, then peel down. I don't bother with the scissors.
2. Open applicator, Hold Upright and snap applicator tip away from face and body It snaps easily. Very easy to get ready.
3. Apply Frontline Plus for Dogs. Place applicator tip through animal's hair to the skin level between the shoulder blades. Squeeze applicator applying entire contents in a single spot to the animal's skin. This is important. I prep my doggie and have the exposed skin ready before the snapping process of step two.
On the back of the package is more interesting reading if you like to follow that sort of thing. More information about the Directions for use, the kinds of insects it treats your dog from, and a section relating to Frequency of Application
Down the line the information states that the product will break the flea cycle and control tick and chewing lice infestations for at least a month.
I treated my little doggie three times this last few months and he doesn't have any signs of fleas now. It's easy to apply and he has never had any bad reactions to the stuff. I am amazed!
That's it!! No one can then say to me, for at least one month's time, "Your dog has fleas."...because..."he doesn't!!"
