CHERYLSWISHER's Full Review: Frontline Top Spot for Dogs
I will agree that this product is the best flea product that I have used, but you would think that for the price ( a handsome $15.00 per application) it would have more ease of use.
I have a 1 year old AKC Cocker Spaniel who is an inside dog. When she was outside, she must have picked up fleas an so the saga begins......
I was told by my veterinarian that I could apply Front-line Top Spot once a month (along with several other yard, carpet products) to stop the infestation of fleas. WHAT they didnt tell me is that:
1. It is very difficult to put on the dog and I am never sure that the full application actually gets where it needs to go. It makes the dogs coat very wet on the top-spot where you put it and I still wonder if that sinks down into the skin or not.
2. It kills fleas within 2 hours of landing on your dog. So, if a flea lands on my dog, jumps into my carpet ....it will die....2 hours later. I am wondering how this prevents the rugs have having egg infestation.
I guess I just figure for as much money as I have spent on flea supplies that this stuff would be easier to use and would eventually stop the flea problem.
My recommendation to anyone using/going to use this product, is that you have the veterinarian show you how to apply it, and explain fully how it works. To ask questions regarding it duration and how to treat your house/yard from re-infestation. I guess I was given the impression that all I had to do was apply this once a month and my problems vanish.....that is not the case.
