| spahi's Full Review: FUJIFILM FinePix 3800 Digital Camera |
I've been using this camera for several months now. I have found that the camera has excellent color, easy use and have found very little to complain about. I would rate this camera at above average.
I am new to the digital world, but found this camera to be of a quality that I am use to in "prosummer" range SLR 35 mm cameras.
Most reviews have been favorable which lead me to purchase this unit. The poor reviews about the lens cap are either exagerated or the problem has been fixed by fuji. I have had zero problems with the lens cap coming loose. I do keep the filter adapter/hood on all the time.
For those who need to take pictures in low light this camera is not for you. The camera has trouble focusing with out an AF Illuminator during the low light times, ie Late dusk, or night, or dusk without lights on indoor.
The shutter speed is limited at an equivalent of 100 iso, so action shots are pretty much out, and low light shots must have a tripod. However this does provide for some excellent night shots ( as long as you can get a focus and have a tripod to steady the camera )
