Fuzzi Bunz are great! I bought these diapers as an alternative to disposable diapers to help the environment.
They are soft and very durable. Here is what I did, and it may help you.
1) Buy 2 dozen off the back. If you have a newborn, you don't want to run out, and you use about 12 diapers a day.
You don't have to, but you'll won't have to run the washer everyday. It will save on water for the environment as well.
2) It helps to double pad the inside. Although it comes with an insert, I find using a double prevents leaks. I have not had any leaks doubling. I only had a small leak around the legs. I have been washing a instructed and with proper soap, so this is not a repelling issue. As baby grows, it helps to have two pads. You can purchase extra pads on a variety of websites. Nurtured family. com has affordable ones. You can purchase regular size inserts and fold over to use in the small diapers. Then when you move to medium/large, you won't need to buy extra inserts.
3) Easy to wash. If baby soils with stool, rinse out right away and soak in water until wash day!
4) You don't have to devote a lot of time to the washing/upkeep on these diapers.
5) Dry all diapers on low heat if you put them in the dryer!
