Pros:Very versatile and useful
Cons:too big for some things, too little for other things
The Bottom Line: The bottom line is that I would get this if I could only have one GPS for all uses and on a modest budget
This is a great little GPS unit.

I have used one, both for recreation and at work for the past three years.
I really like the tracking features, and I also really like the go to feature. It is readable in the dark with the back light. It is very easy and intuitive to use once you get the hang of it. I would say it is fairly easy to learn.
Sometimes, you need one that takes up a little bit less room. In that case, the Foretrex may be an option.
Also, sometimes you may want a bigger screen, or a color screen. I am not sure what would be the way to go there.
I have dropped, hit, gotten wet, dunked, and in various other ways subjected this product to abuse. It has done fine.
Sometimes I want to take data from mine, and give it to someone else. Or, take data from their GPS and put it into mine. I do not know of a good way to do that. I would like to see a way to do that, the way people just IR stuff back and forth on their palm pilots.
If you need a GPS that is going to sit on the dash of your car, get carried by you, slapped onto a bike mount, and basically have a multitude of uses, this product is the way to go.
For just the basics, you may want to consider the Foretrex. For a vehicle or more detailed hiking and orienteering, you may want to consider a larger unit.
