Pros: Cheap, relatively compact and... something else. I don't know what, but something.
Cons: Everything else. It's slow, of poor build, and handles like a locomotive in space.
The Bottom Line: If you have not realized from my previous statements, this piece of hardware is of such poor quality that it almost isn't worth mentioning, except for how terrible it is.

| noahldiamond's Full Review: GPX CDPW8806 Personal CD Player |
This player is absolutely terrible. It loads slow, it doesn't play the entire track, it has problems using any power source besides an AC or car adapter. The one I bought did not power on with batteries.
It has a single line display to tell you the track name, it has a line out connection along with a headphones (just in case you want to play it on your home theater or car WHILE using headphones at the same time), it makes some sort of noises come out of the speakers, and it holds a disc inside that can spin around.
It comes with a pair of wet noodles with cheap knockoff polo shirt buttons attached at the ends that resemble ear buds.
The manual that comes with it resembles chicken scratch on a piece of lavatory tissue paper.
It takes forever to change tracks. Something like 20 seconds. The anti-skip works, provided you are patient enough for it to start playing. Using it in the car wit a tape adapter is even worse as trying to tell it what to do is like trying to instruct Helen Keller how to land a 737-400 with no engines over the ocean in winter during a hail storm and a hurricane using nothing but a piece of dental floss and a paper Dixie cup.
The audio, once it is playing, is actually quite decent, but it's ease of use just kills it. If you are looking for a quality CD/MP3/WMA player, check out the Philips EXP2561. It's only $5 more at most retailers and is an absolute dream to use. In fact, just about any other player would be better.
Again, I can't stress enough to avoid the GPX CDPW8806 at all costs. I would not even recommend this product as a practical joke.
It is unable to play variable bit-rate audio, has no fast-forward or rewind function, is noisy in operation, the buttons do not respond if the device is loading or doing any work other than playing audio or idling, the volume function does not save and resets to a very high volume, blasting your face off the front of your head every time you turn it on, the warranty is only 90 days (though you won't have to worry since it will fail before then), and overall it is a cheap knock-off of the higher end devices.
It plays off the money saving consumer who wants to save $5, which is ridiculous because you will use more in gas to return it for something else.
