We knew we had to have it. The demonstration seemed almost too good to be true. It didn't matter. We were in love. Once it was home, we knew our love had not been misplaced. The Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler delivered everything we expected and more.

Our primary use of the Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler has been for paninis, and we have never been disappointed. But it does much more than that.
It's also a full contact grill, which lets us cook meat quickly and evenly. It's a full grill/griddle, which lets us enjoy grilling foods through the winter. It's an extra grill/griddle to expand your stove for a big meal. In short, the Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler does it all.
The Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler is extremely easy to use. There are three knobs. The middle knob is the selector, which chooses full griddle or grill/panini press mode. With the griddle, turn the knob to the left and use the leftmost knob to select the temperature. With the grill/panini press, turn the knob to the right and use the rightmost knob to select the temperature. That's it!
The only other feature to adjust is the plates. Each plate is removable and reversible, so to use the ribbed grill plates, set them to that side. To use the flat griddle plates, set them to that side. It's very quick and easy.
If you're using the panini press or contact grill features, simply close the lid when the temperature light goes green, and you're off! The lid is constructed to adjust to the thickness of what you're cooking to ensure even coverage by the top plate.
To use the Griddler as a full grill/griddle, flip a switch on the side to lay the whole appliance flat, and you've got an enormous grill on your countertop, ready for cooking!
There is a small grease trap underneath, which lets cooking oils and fats run off into it. We don't cook greasy foods on the Griddler, so we don't use this feature, but if you're cooking burgers a lot, this could come in handy.
Cleaning the Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler is a breeze. The plates are detachable and dishwasher safe, and the rest of the surfaces of the grill wipe off with a damp sponge.
The only downside I can think of is that the grease trap sometimes won't stay put. We don't use it that often anyway, but it slides out easily, and that could be a problem for people who cook greasy foods.
The Bottom Line
The Cuisinart 5-in-1 Griddler is an unqualified success in my book. I am always happy with it when I use it, and we've incorporated it seamlessly into our kitchen lives. It tucks away easily for storage when it's not being used, so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space. If you're looking for a panini press, look no further.
