I have had the Garden Hopper for two years and I love it. It is cute, easy to use, and makes bending over and wrecking your back and/or knees while you tend the garden almost obsolete.
The Garden Hopper is a low, rolling garden seat, with storage. I kind of think of it as a combination garden cart and seat. Imagine a sturdy, plastic box with a lift up lid and enough space on the sides of the box for you to get at its contents without lifting the lid. Now round the corners, add 4 nice, sturdy, plastic wheels, put a hole in the top so you can easily carry it, and add a beverage holder on one end. You now have the Garden Hopper.
The storage space beneath the seat is quite remarkable, I have easily fit gloves, a hand shovel, a few bags of bulbs or an 8 pack of plugs, a small pick ax (with the end hanging out the side), and my cell phone, all at the same time in the storage space! Color me impressed!
The cart rolls while you are sitting on it and this is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The obvious advantage is, unless you are in danger of rolling over something you don't want to roll over, you can easily glide down a row as you plant, or weed, or whatever. The disadvantage is that if you are on an incline you will roll whether you want to, or not. This can be largely offset by wedging a rock or something under one of the wheels, but I have to admit that I have rolled and fallen off the cart more than a couple of times. This has left me with a few bruises but I have laughed almost every time it has happened.
The beverage holder is a nice touch, but I suspect it is only good for holding cans of your beverage. I cannot squeeze a bottle of Smart Water into it, and my mini-bottles of Pellegrino fall out of it constantly.
Garden Hopper is a tough little thing. I have dropped it many times, it has tumbled down hills, and appears to work just as well when a heavy person uses it.
I am very fond of my Garden Hopper and expect to use if for many years to come.
