First of all - whoever designed their website didn't have the user in mind and whoever approved and accepted the design should be fired. The website is frustrating and difficult to move around or to get information.
2nd: The documentation that comes with the Garmin Forerunner 305 appears to be substantial (nice booklet) but in reality, leaves out more information than it includes.
3rd: Detailed maps are NOT included with this and it is a pretty steep upcharge to get them. What is provided is an overview map that includes only main arteries on a white background, such as highways. As a result, unless you're training on a highway, forget about knowing where you were when you upload to your computer.
4th. The software is limited, proprietary and in my opinion, poorly thought out. You get a very limited software package that is frustrating to say the least. To access and or manipulate real data requires a subscription that is with, again, a substantial upcharge.
