The map and driving direction are acceptable. Clear direction but it does not tell you the name of the road or the number of the exit or the name of the highway connection. It just tell you, say, in one mile, you have to turn or to exit. For this additional information, you have to read the message on the corner of the screen. It also does a rather poor job locating the car's position. It sometimes tell me to turn way before or after I have already passed the cross-section. It seems it can resolve only within 300 ft. The worst are the traffic alert and the bluetooth connection to a phone. With both the bluetooth and the traffic alert off, this unit works reasonably well.
The bluetooth phone connection works well when it works. I can access the phone's phone number list and can dial using the interface on the GPS's screen. The voice is also reasonably clear and loud. The problem is that they work together only once in a long while. I can not tell if the problem is with my Treo or with the GPS unit. It work very intermittenly and require rebooting both devices multiple times to get them to work together. So, I just turn the bluetooth off.
The unit definitely has problems when the traffic alert is on. It works very slowly when it is on. The map usually have problem showing on the screen, just the symbol of the car moving in a void background or withh only a small part of the screen showing the map. It also crashes and reboots itself often when the traffic alert is on. I just turn this "feature" off.
