"VERY PORTABLE!" hehehehehe (Reply to this comment)
by mbresso
I know this isn't fair -- and I actually still own a (retired) SPIII that I bought in 2003 or so myself, but it's funny how archaic and quaint the SPIII now sounds, especially the OP's main "Pro" that it was "Very portable" especially in light of all the great new 2008 GPS models -- to wit, the entire Nuvi series. Try sticking a brick of cheese-like SPIII in your pants: "Is that a 'navigational device' in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?!" hahahahahaha!
Yeah, you can't go wrong with a Garmin, I own several other modern units besides the SPIII.

BMW Z4 and Street Pilot (Reply to this comment)
by cpatrick17
I also have a Street Pilot in my Z4 using the bean bag mount, it works great, I used the stick mount for a while but it did not seen sturdy enough. I would like to use a mount that clicks on the front of the dash with a remote antenna. I also have a Uniden Bear Tracker and radar detector and things are getting a little crowded. Does anyone know where I can get a vertical mount? Thanks.

BTW my review is the NON-GPS version (Mapquest for the car), but there current version (not listed at Epinions.com is GPS based.

Nice job, and nice taste in cars (Reply to this comment)

I liked your review, and as an owner I agreed with your observations. I also like your taste in cars, especially the M3. I have a lowly 2003 325i but it still gets me there.
