I bought this deep conditioning treatment as a suggestion from my best friend's hairstylist. My best friend has ethnic hair, and has treatments every 2 weeks to keep her hair soft and manageable. When she went out of the country, she used this product because they did not have these hair treatments where she was going, and said it kept her hair amazingly soft during that time period.
I have long, overly processed hair. Its usually wavy and soft, but I highlight almost every summer and dye almost every fall, so you can imagine from roots to tips (my mid-back), I've had a lot of chemical processing. Well, my hair (no kidding!) became dry and dull, and no serums, conditioners or balms were keeping it smooth anymore. I tried this product as suggested by my friend and I was amazed at the result.
Garnier Fructis Fortifying Deep Conditioner 3 Minute Masque comes in a jar, which is very cumbersome to work with in the shower. However, the actual conditioner is creamy, with the signature garnier scent that is fruity and floral. A small amount, about a teaspoonfull was plenty, as I massaged from my ends to the nape of my neck and then used the leftover in my roots. I let the product set in as I finished up my shower (probably 5-10 minutes), and used my regular serum and blow-dried and straightened. I could already tell my hair was much more manageable, and very soft. Although the directions indicate you should use it only once a week, I used it every shower (about 3-4 times a week) for 2 weeks. My hair was a completely different texture; it was shiny, sleek, soft and manageable. I started using it only once a week after my hair became so moisturized it started to lose body and styling ability (that is saying a LOT about my voluminous, usually dry hair). This product completely saved my hair, I wasted a small fortune on salon-quality products, and this takes the cake! You can't tell my hair has been through so much stress - it looks amazing, and it even feels stronger.
I am very impressed by this product; I have used the sleek and shine line before and was dissaponted because it left a great deal of build-up in my hair. This product is going in my hall of fame!
