Pros: Good quality graphics, high frame rates. Name Brand.
Cons: 128 megs of ram as an option, and ram sinks pre-installed would have been nice.
The Bottom Line: Buy this card only if you want to get addicted to your games like never before. If you don't want to be blown off your feet, then don't:)

| Matt1979's Full Review: VisionTek GeForce2 Pro, (64 MB) AGP Video Card |
I bought the OEM (original equipment manufactured) card so I did not get the fancy box or instructions. Just a driver CD-ROM disc and the card. But, these things were not missed, because I was after the speed and beauty that Nvidia's GPU had to deliver. And the quality of the Visiontek name brand.
Even when not playing a game in it's 3D glory, the utter detail and sharp contrast of the 2D capabilty of this card is insane:)Installation was easy, drop the card into my AGP 4X slot. Boot the machine up, install the latest Nvidia drivers from their website (never use the original drivers, by the time the card hits the market, they are outdated and new ones are out). The 3D API's supported are OpenGL, and Direct 3D. It harnesses the power of the new Direct X 8.0+ support. The Geforce 2 GTS chipset is comprised of 256-bit architecture, 4 texel piepline, DDR memory bandwidth is a nice addition. The card uses 333mhz DDR ram with a 200mhz core GPU (graphical processing unit). The neat thing is, that if you get a ramsink upgrade kit such as Thermaltake's kit, and pair it with their Blue Orb or CromeOrb for VGA, you can crank this baby up to the speed of a geforce 2 ULTRA. That will be 250mhz core GPU speed with 460mhz DDR speed. Very big improvment for roughly $40 in the fan and heat sink kit:)
Overall, you get a good name brand (best as far as I'm concerned), genuine made in the USA quality, a fast gaming card that supports all games currently out and more to come, and you don't have to worry about tech support or warranty failure (unless you overclock it:)). They now have excellent tech support, and a limited lifetime warranty!
