Pros: Fast...incredible boost to graphics!

The Bottom Line: The GeForce3 is a must have for those who want the best...if you're not into your computer...this may be overkill.

I recently went on MicroPro.com and purchased the components to build my own system.
I knew before hand I wanted to make it OVERLY powerful...80 gig Maxtor Hard Drive, dual Pentium III gig processors, a gig of PC 133 RAM, Sound Blaster Live! and, of course, the VisionTek GeForce3 video card.
After putting all the components together...I installed windowsXP which immediately recognized all my drives, controllers and cards. Upon booting up the system and testing out a few games...it was obvious to me that the graphics card had definitely kicked things up another level.
Not only is it great for games...I won't go into to much detail about that since that is what most people talk about when discussing this card...but if you do any type of graphics development (video editing, Adobe Illustrator work, Flash..whatever) you will definitely be pleased by the performance of the GeForce3.
I work as a web-developer...and although graphics work isnt the biggest part of my job...I often find myself working with Flash and editing/Creating graphics in Photoshop or Illustrator. With the GeForce3 I am able to view pictures in greater detail with crisper definition...even when they are enlarged 5 to 6 times past above their original pixel definitions!
Alot of people will tell you this card is overpriced (I paid $356.00 for the retail package on MicroPro) but in my opinion....if you're gonna build a PC and claim that its a super computer....you have to have this card.
