hybridcross228's Full Review: Gears of War for Xbox 360
I recently played this game for the Xbox 360. It blew me away. The "run and gun" style game play, and the rich surroundings make this game a must buy to me. And I truly enjoyed every last bit of it. The story was extremely rich, allowing you to really get involved with the flow of the game. However it ended a little too soon for me.
I really like the way the enemies used the cover to their advantage if they were able to. The fact that the AI is so good that they can find a spot to snipe wonderfully from above and I can't see them makes this game sometimes extremely hard. Sometimes the enemy is a little too good though (like using the fact that their gun goes through the cover to shot you).
The game itself really has very few glitches, but coming from the same people that made Halo, you expect that. The games multiplayer on-line modes were definitely buggy at times, but with work done to their own personal servers, players on the 360 and PC have no more problems.
I definitely recommend this game to anyone that loves blood, guts, and guns (and obviously the mature gamer out there).
