Cons: EVERYTHING FROM SOUND QUALITY TO BATTERIES RUNNING LOW TOO QUICKLY
These phone along with another model (will find that model and write a review there also) made by GE are garbage!!!! First of all the sound quality was awful. Everything seemed to cause interference. The phone was rarely able to locate the signal despite the phone being literally inches from the base. The phone would ring and I would attempt to answer it only to hear a warning beep and see a message flash on the LCD screen saying "unavailable". Ok..so I would RUN to another phone to answer the call only to not be able to answer that phone either!! The GE cordless phone was now hijacking my telephones lines! After attempting to answer the GE phone and getting that annoying little message (unavailable) my phone lines would be full of static and no longer accessible from other telephones, The only fix for this was to pull both the power cord and the phone cord from the GE phone base. If this was not done it was as if there was a phone off of the hook somewhere in the house. The final straw was when I tried to make an emergency call to a doctor using the GE phone. I pushed the talk button only to get the unavailable message and then once again I was unable to use any telephone in the house. When you need to make an emergency call to a doctor the last thing you want to do is to unplug a phone so that you can access the line! This phone proved itself dangerous to me in the end and that was the day that both of them flew into the garbage. I am now using a Panasonic cordless phone and it works wonderfully. I would like to add that I had called GE customer service many times and was always told that there must be something wrong with my telephone line and/or that something was interfering with the GE cordless phone. Strangely enough, my telephone line was fine the minutes before I hooked up the phone and again just minutes after I disconnected it. When I went to purchase my new telephone I explained what the GE phone had done and the salesman told me that they hear this a lot and that GE is not known to make a reliable telephone. I would urge anyone that is about to purchase a cordless phone to STAY FAR AWAY FROM ANYTHING GE MAKES as this was not the only GE phone that I had that was awful! ALSO: The batteries ran low too quickly.
The design was not very comfortable.
The volume would adjust itself throughout the conversation constantly requiring me to re-adjust it.
Most features did not work as the manual said they would....
