Problem? Don't try to contact GE..you won't get to anyone

Pros: Small,easy to follow instructions,CHEAP
Cons: The "red eye" message indicator, incoming message cut off/disconnect
The Bottom Line: Unless you're really working with a LOW BUDGET, get a better quality product

I bought the machine because I needed to use my high quality Panasonic machine for in home business and needed something to screen incoming calls on my main phone line. BestBuy was having a sale at $16.95 with a $7 rebate (which I received in less than two weeks!),so I thought- $10 good-but now I'm experiencing this odd sporatic problem with people hearing one syllable of my greeting and then the machine beeps and disconnects them. Granted I had a message that I had saved in memory, only 5 mins.long,but it says 20 min. memory(make that 18)so I thought it was OK. Decided to record message onto little tape deck and erase all messages-now waiting to see if this happens again. Tried to call GE to ask a REAL PERSON if this would be solution, but all systems automated or refer you to companies that sell product, not troubleshoot...so gave up!!!
