A great deal to fit the basic answering machine needs

When I was looking for an answering machine, I was looking for something simple, easy to use, and cheap. Also I was sick of having to wait while my old machine rewound the tape of messages before I could hear them. This machine instantly plays the messages when you press play. That was the main reason I wanted a new answering machine. The greeting is very easy to change and so is the time and date. Every once in awhile I have a hard time understanding the messages but a lot of the times I think it may have to do with the person recording the message not speaking up. It is easy to save the messages if you need to save them for long periods of time. Something that doesn't bother me much but may bother you is the fact that you can't tell how many messages are on the machine. A red light blinks when there are new messages but it doesn't tell you how many new messages. In case the power ever goes out, a battery backs the machine up which is nice. It is easy to connect the machine to your phone. You don't necessarily have to be at home to check your messages because you can check them from any phone using a 4-digit security code which is nice if you are going to be on vacation or gone for a long time. Overall, I would highly recommend this answering machine to anyone looking for an easy to use basic answering machine.
