Pros: small size for apartments one of few available. easy to replace thermostat and timer
Cons: expensive, low quality parts, poorly designed for spills, extremely difficult to replace fan, other parts
Y small size for apartments , hard to find this size, one of few available.
Y easy to (access to repair) replace thermostat and timer
Y low quality parts
Y poorly designed front bottom junction traps spilled food, this should have been overlapped, but as is it's guaranteed to collect debris, a long narrow piece of tape over it will seal it.
Y poorly placed air vent in freezer is at bottom front with wide grills, this is a bad place for it because anything spilled in the freezer is going to flow into the coils and is extremely difficult to access for cleaning. not much you can do about this, just don't spill anything ha.
Y very difficult to access (to repair) fan, and heater (must remove doors and front panel which is glued and notched in place and apparently not intended to be repaired, you will have to carefully pry the thing apart. It took 2 people to hold and pry parts apart, be careful not to damage copper tube(located just behind the mullion)
NOTE: fan quit after 25 months of use, (yes months not years,)
Problem was that the fan blade crept back toward the motor until the friction caused it to stop, I fixed it by pulling the fan off and adding a small plastic tube between fan and motor to prevent it from moving again. I sure don't want to have to take it apart again in two years if I can avoid it.
