Kraft Food & Family Magazine: Delicious Recipes & It's FREE!

Written: Mar 26 '08
Pros:It's free!
Cons:Recipes call for Kraft products.
The Bottom Line: Quick and easy recipes, color photographs and best of all --it's FREE!

Kraft Food & Family Magazine is a quarterly magazine put out by none other than Kraft Foods. The publication is free if you register for it online at www.kraftfoods.com/share and live in the United States, District of Columbia or have a military address.

Kraft Food & Family Magazine

Each issue focuses on recipes of the season and contains about 65 pages. The cover is made of a glossy cover weight paper that makes the cover photographs look especially appetizing.

One of the impressive things I've noticed about this magazine other than the content and the fact that it is free is that it is made from paper that has been certified through the Forest Stewardship Council that guarantees the trees used to make the paper are from well managed forests that are harvested according to certain guidelines. They also encourage their readers to recycle the magazines after reading.

Now that we have that out of the way, let me tell you about this wonderful magazine. Each issue contains lots of recipes relating to the appropriate season and are also appealing to the entire family. The recipes are pretty simple to prepare and the directions are easy enough for a teenager to follow. Each recipe has a matching photograph to show you what the finished product should look like.

Each issue also has an article or two from well known chefs or nutritionists. These articles can be health related or tips and secrets they have discovered in the kitchen.

My Thoughts on Food & Family

I really appreciate the simplicity of this magazine being a working mother. The recipes are easy to prepare and most don't take a lot of preparation time either or call for half of your kitchen cabinet's contents to prepare the recipe.

This is a delightful magazine with lots of color photographs to show you how the food and recipes should look. I also like the fact that there are very few advertisements in this magazine. When you do see one, it is for a Kraft product 9 times out of 10.

There is one other positive thing that I love about Kraft Food & Family Magazine and that is that most issues come with some Kraft coupons inside or in a booklet tucked inside the magazine.

Recommendation

This is a wonderful magazine for anyone that loves to cook or needs a little help in the kitchen with recipes or meal planning. The recipes are easy, and each magazine focuses on the upcoming season. It's free and a great magazine to have in your kitchen for those days when you want or need help with your menu.
