I went to US Cellular from Cingular about 9 months ago. They had much cheaper prices than Cingular and the customer service was much less aggravating. I was so glad to leave Cingular because I had nothing but problems with them.
About 3 months later I was having some financial issues and was 6 days late on making my payment. On the 6th day my phone was shut off. I have never had any utility or phone shut off in my life. I called US Cellular and they explained that they have no grace period. I was not informed of this when I signed up. I am all about paying my bills on time, but I know that sometimes bad things can happen and for your only means of communication to be shut off because you are 6 days late making the payment is a little harsh, don't ya think.
Another thing that I am not happy with is the selection of phones that they offer. US Cellular is so behind on technology it's unbelievable. WHen I called customer service to see if I could activate a non-US Cellular CDMA phone they told me no. Basically you are stuck with whatever US Cellular puts out. Most other companies let you use any unlocked phone, but not US Cellular. Once you are in the contract you are stuck with whatever crap they have out.
