| hularider's Full Review: General Reviews of Verizon Customer Service |
My contract has finally expired and I am at last free of the Verizon horrors.
The saga started two years ago when they signed me up in Hilo, Hawai`i, and put me on Canadian Roaming. Thus, every call I made was charged as though I were a Canadian visiting Hawai`i. I'm not Canadian. I'm Hawaiian. Never lived in Canada. Though it is beautiful, I probably never will.
At over $300 per month in phone charges, I was a bit miffed. Went through MANY reps trying to resolve this. NONE of the local reps were able to help me. Finally one guy in some office far, far away actually took the time to resolve the issue and deleted the erronious charges. The process took about a year.
Service people are extremely variable. Some are very sweet, though when they walk me through the "upgrades" the phone never works quite as well as it did before. Others range from arrogant to downright nasty.
Their technical end needs work, as well. So many dropped calls, it is a joke. Literally. People here say things like, "I couldn't hear you on the phone the other day. Are you on Verizon?"
So, between poor customer service, and poor phone service, I am out of there.
