Pros:Cost only $30.Sleek silver finish. Cooks more evenly and quickly than previous grills.
Cons:No thermostat or timer.Needs to be cleaned while hot for best results.
My old George foreman was showing its age. The outside had discolored, the grilling grooves had gunk that couldnt be removed, and the electrical cord became frayed. Iit was time to get rid of it.
I wanted a model with removable plates and either a timer or thermostat. Those models are smaller than the basic grills and cost a lot more-from $70 up to around $120-$130.
As I had good experiences with my previous George Foreman, I decided to stick with a basic grill. It has a larger grilling area and a non-removable floating plate that adjusts to different thicknesses of meat. This model can hold 3 good sized steaks and up to 9 burgers with room to spare.
The only downsides are lack of a thermostat or timer-it just has a light to indicate proper temperature. It is also quite a bit larger than other foreman grills.
