Pros:Easy to use. Works like it claims it does.

Cons:Cleaning is kind of a pain but not hard.

The Bottom Line: It's great for anyone who loves to grill and loves to eat. The grill heats quickly and can be used indoors in any weather for meats, veggies or sandwiches.

I purchased this product in October 2007. My gas grill outside needed new parts and since we love grilled food year round I thought this might be a less messy alternative to cleaning the outdoor monster. Also our patio is really small and if we could love the Foreman then we could toss the outdoor monster!!!

I picked this model really only because of price, and when it wears out the next one I get will be the one where the grill plates come off and go in the dishwasher. Cleanup is really easy, but you are supposed to clean it before it cools off 100 percent and I always forget.

The floating hinge allows your food to cook evenly and puts a nice even grillmark on everything.

I have used the Foreman for Ruben Sandwiches, Grilled Cheese sandwiches, chicken strips, chicken breasts, hamburgers, turkey burgers, steak, hot dogs, polish sausage and salmon. Everything turned out quick and delicious. My husband was really shocked, he said the steaks were the best I had ever grilled.

It comes with a little recipe booklet that tells you the cooking time of the different meats. I don't think it told the cooktime of salmon but I looked online for a recipe (its not in my usual list of meats I cook but my spouse loves it) and it gave me the time there. That's really the only use for the cookbook that I've had...just haven't felt compelled to try the recipes in there they may be good, I just like to whip stuff up with whatever I have on hand most of the time.

To use you just plug it in and when the light on top goes off that means the grill is ready. It came with two plastic spatula type things that I really think are useless. I just use my regular nylon/plastic kitchenware so I won't damage the nonstick coating and go. It also comes with two grease-drip collectors but I haven't cooked anything that required me to use more than one yet and hope I never do. There are just the two of us here, but when I load the grill up we usually have food for one if not two meals of leftovers.

Like I said I love my Foreman. The only thing I don't like is carting the whole thing over to perch it on the edge of the sink while I carefully clean it and then carry it back over to it's home on the other counter.

One other word to be said about sandwiches. I did not purchase this intending to panini or grill sandwiches on it but I think it makes the perfect crunchy breadcrust!!!!
