Gerber is known for quality products for babies and toddlers. It is a name we have come to love and trust.
The two bakery baby foods I have used are zwieback toasts and biter biscuits. You can find both of these products at your local grocery store. I have also seen them at stores like Walmart and Kmart.
The zwieback toast is long and hard. It is easy for your baby to grasp. They have a slight cinnamon taste. I have found that the toast is a controllable mess. The toast does not easily dissolve which is great for biting for sore gums. These have been a godsend when you have a miserable teething baby.
The biter biscuits are round with small indentations which are great for little fingers. They do have a sweet taste but I can't quite put my finger on the flavor. The biscuits dissolve easily and can make a terrible mess.
i have found that they are reasonably priced between 1.50 and 2.00 per box depending on the sales. If you would like to get on Gerber's mailing list and get coupons call 1-800-4gerber. I like to buy them on sale with a coupon.
I recommend never leaving a baby or toddler alone to eat either the zwieback toast or the biter biscuits. These can be a choking hazard for your child.
Both the zwieback toast and the biter biscuits are fortified with vitamins and iron. This is a big selling point to me. They do help with teething but more importantly they are not just junk. I feel it is important to give our children nutritious things to eat. These products make a nice compliment or snack to a healthy child's diet.
I like the fact that the biscuits come individually wrapped. This makes it easy for putting in your purse or diaper bag. When we are hungry it is not unheard of for and adult or older child to eat them. No one has complained of the taste.
