After 7 years of drips, leaks, & other fluid annoyances I finally discovered a toddler’s cup that will not make me clean up any more messes than I have to. I found it in Gerber’s Spillproof cups. I don’t know why I didn’t discover them sooner. I tried other sippy cups that made the same spill-proof claims but - failure after failure - I think I decided there really was no such thing as a true spill-proof cup for toddlers.
I tried Gerber’s product because I had an awesome coupon. It was valued at $4 plus the cup was on sale so I got it for free. I’ll try anything for free! (I think the regular retail price of the 10-oz cup at the store I visited was $5.) The cups come in various sizes & neat colors that are transparent so you can see what’s left on the inside. The parts are all upper-rack dishwasher safe. I was certainly impressed by my new treasure.
I chose the large 10-oz. cup since my youngest is no longer a baby & drinks a lot but still needs quite a bit of help in the way of spill proofing. The only problem with the large-size cup is that it does not fit into car cup holders; its base & upper body are wide with a narrower center for small hands to hold more easily. I guess that’s the best Gerber could do with a cup that holds so much inside. It’s nice to be able to bring a cup on trips, though, that holds as much as this one does. And to be able to wholeheartedly trust that the cup will not leak, drip, or spill is wonderful. I have shaken this cup upside down full of water with not one drop leaking out. I feel safe if my son carries this cup around the house (which is not allowed but happens now & then) & I trust my son to hold & use this cup in the car. Even Grandma trusts it in her house! Now THAT’S proof of the reliability of Gerber’s spill-proof cups. All that & Gerber has even made it easy to get the fluid OUT of the cup with a simple suck.
Now I’m off to get some more of these cups…
