| daddym's Full Review: Gerber Graduates Mini Veggies - Sweet Corn |
When my wife first brought home Gerber Graduates Mini Veggies - Sweet Corn for my son I was a bit surprised and thought it was kind of gross. Why would a toddler want to eat dehydrated corn? But my wife said it is worth a try. If my son didn't like it she would not buy it again, if he did like it we would be providing him a nice healthy snack.
Actually the corn is freeze dried. It is made of 100% corn. It is a good little finger food for young hands. It is not hard or chewy like you might think that it is. It actually disolves in your mouth. It tastes kind of sweet and of course tastes like corn but you don't even really need to chew it. It really does just disolve, so there is not really any risk of choking unless perhaps the child puts too much in their mouth at once and it can't dissolve properly, but if you just give them a few at a time they will be fine. Make sure to supervise children while they are eating anything.
Gerber Graduates Mini Veggies - Sweet Corn have no preservatives. They provide 30 calories, .5 grams of fat, O grams of cholesterol, O grams of sodium, 70 mg of potassium, 5 grams of carbohydrate, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 3 grams of sugar, and just under 1 gram of protein. According to the package it has 4 servings of vegetables in each package. Serving size is 3 tablespoons and there are 6 servings per package.
It comes in a 1.5 oz resaelable bag type package. You have to really make sure to seal the package though, if you don't it will get really dried out.
Gerber Graduates Mini Veggies Sweet Corn costs about $2.99 per package.
My son actually likes these, and they actually are not half bad. It is kind of cool they way they melt in the mouth. I think this is a nice snack and helps kids get a taste for vegetables, and I think that is a good thing. The bag also packs up easily as is in to a diaper bag so they are a convenient snack to bring along with you where ever you go, and there is no mess. It picks up and sweeps up easily if it is dropped and is not sticky.
I think this is a nice heathy and convenient treat for toddlers.
