| kaseylynn13's Full Review: Gerber Soft Care Training Pants |
I have twin boys who are 3. I have been trying to potty train them since they turned 2. I have tried the Pampers Feel & Learn but they did nothing to further the process. They still hold in everything so what's the point in being bothered to go to the potty. I saw these training pants and figured I might as well try them not really thinking they'd help. I put them on them and both of them wet them right away...they didn't like that feeling one bit! Well, it's just been 2 weeks and they have at most 2 accidents a day, if that. They want to go to the potty and be "big boys", which they don't even feel like in diapers. (One tip: when they go pee pee in the potty we all do Ring Around the Rosie, that gets them going to the potty by themselves every 5 minutes!)The pants are so soft and fit like "boy shorts", more like a mix between brief and boxer brief so they are more comfortable than a brief. They do hold in small accidents, but now too much which is still good. My Boys LOVE them. They feel so big in them. It's like some magical invention I wish I had tried a year ago! The Gerber Training Pants come in different prints for Boys and Girls, but the Boys pants do not have a flap in the front. They are washable. As they wear them they stretch a little (barely) but once you wash them they go back to their original size. I have had to wash out urine and they turn out like new. They're 100% cotton so they wash good on any temperature and I dry them on high with no problems. The sides are a lighter cotton (almost see through, to breathe) the middle portion from waist down around to the back is padded for accidents but is still thin so they fit way better under clothes than diapers. They come in, from what I can find, 2T, 3T and 4T all white (white is unisex) or prints specifically for Boys or Girls. One more thing, Gerber training pants are labeled A, B, or C as steps in the potty training process. These are step C as in completing the process. Step B are vinyl covered training pants which hold more than these but not as much as a diaper. My Boys thought they were a diaper (which wasn't good)so I recommend going right to the step C if you tried Step B and it didn't work like with me. I hope this helps!
