Pros: Smooth ride, comfortable, reasonably priced.
Cons: Original thumbshifters were unfriendly.
The Bottom Line: Reasonably-priced nice bike made better with a few modifications. Smooth comfort bike.

I am 5 foot 3.5 in. and have some balance problems (MS) so I really wanted a women's bike. I had not ridden a bike in 15 years and had recently lost about 80 pounds so a medium-priced comfortable bike seemed appropriate. The Giant Sedona DX fit the bill. We had the bike outfitted with a nice padded Serfa seat, a Blackburn post haste rack, Serfa handgrips, cruiser pedals, and thumbshifters (replacing the grip shift). These custom changes were to accommodate my slight disabilities. The bike is terrific, comfortable and easy to ride. I got a cool bag to put on the rack and a folding cane to carry in that trunk. Now, if you're laughing and thinking I'm crazy, that's okay! I enjoy this bike quite a bit and find it easy to ride - it shifts easily and the price was reasonable enough to make the changes I needed.
2003 had a silver and black women's bike, not pink or lavandar! I was glad not to have a sweet lady's color of bike. I already look goofy enough, stepping off my bike and whipping out my folding cane. BUT I get places on this bike and it is very comfortable.
This bike is a good commuter bike - not quite a mountain bike or street bike but a good hybrid. I purchased it at the end of summer 2004 and have done strengthening exercises through the winter and plan to commute and ride the public trails this spring (2005).
