Pros: only 21 minutes long, fast results, helps improvement in physically & mentally
Yes, I really love this fitness program and as I mentioned the review for Vol 2 and 3, I sure have owned this Vol 1 too. (bought all 3). 2 months ago, I accidentally saw this program on TV (that was when I was looking for some daily physical activity - that I could do everyday), and I've been exercising with this program everyday in the 2 months (missed only 1 day during July 4 holidays). As I mentioned this in my review for Vol 3 or 2, I've lost just 3 pounds since I started work out with this program, but have noticed that upper arms, thighs, abs have been getting very firm 'cause use muscle a lot in this program. I've never used weights or do exercise for muscles, so this results is something I have never experienced, and like to see getting better, so I can't quit this.
If you have no info about this program, you can see it on fit TV (it's on the air daily even Saturdays & Sundays), then you should try work out with the show on TV first, then decide if this is something you can do regularly.
this program starts with 5-6 minutes warm up (mostly easy) then 8-9 minutes work out which include some difficult one, but even difficult staff last 3-4 minutes, then usually include exercise with weights for arms, if you use weights that you can comfortably work out with, the exercise with weights are not hard at all, then last 5-6 minutes of the program is exercise for Abs and Cool down. usually do crunch in different ways (like .. with bending knees, lifting one leg), after hardest part of work out, lying down on the ground and crunch for 3-4 minutes is kind of relaxing. total 21 minutes long or so. on TV, there are commercial break, but on this DVD, no commercial. 3 programs from fit TV are in this DVD (total running time 72 minutes, According to Gilad's office, this DVD is Free region, you can take this DVD when you have to travel outside US). Just 9 minutes in the program is hard, most part of this program are easy, anyone can do, if the entire 21 minutes are super easy, probably you can't get result quickly, but just try 9 minutes hard part daily, you can feel that you did what you decided to do daily, and get the result too, I feel good about it 'cause I was a super lazy individual who hated any exercise or sports until I saw this program. Now I've been doing exercise over an hour with Gilad's programs daily (with this DVD, On Demand (comcast) and Fit TV). I can't believe that I have been spending time for exercise everyday.
If you always wear shoes for in-house exercise, fine, but if you are like me who have no custom to wear shoes in a house and tend to do in-house exercise with bare foot, you better wear shoes for work out even inside the house, just for warm up purpose, so you can sweat more, and this is not Yoga, not Belly dance. you need 2 small weights for this "Total Body Sculpt with Gilad" (sometimes Gilad and his people use Medicine Ball, and band, I don't have those, but weights can be used for the exercise which they use ball or band, so at least small weights are required).
First I just tried to do exercise with this program on TV daily at least once a day (This program is on the air 3 times a day on Fit TV, M-F), then started twice a day (when it's on the air in the morning and evening and whenever I missed, I used this DVD to make up for a missed program), now I feel like I need some aerobics, so I've added some aerobics program with Gilad too (there are short (10 minutes long) Aerobics with Gilad on comcast On Demand), plus 11 minutes ab exercise with Kendell Horgan (exercise TV on Demand), once I got used to do exercise with this Total Body sculpt with Gilad, I wanted to try more different exercise, or with other trainer. (I think that's good for me). But even after I tried other trainer and their programs, I still love this "Total Body sculpt with Gilad" the best. This helped me not only physical thing, but mental thing also. I think it's because I have given up exercise very often in my time, whenever I thought about doing exercise regularly, I had no confidence that I could do it, not only exercise, no confidence about anything to continue to do regularly. shortly before I found and started exercise with Gilad program, my husband told me to teach our daughter how to write alphabet and study for that 1 hour a day, I immediately thought I couldn't do it- as you see, anything that I have to do daily, or continue to do daily, scared me, 'cause I was afraid of giving up quickly. (did not trust myself). But lately I noticed that I have been reading my daughter 7-8 books at her bed time, it took about an hour, and I do it almost everyday, and my daughter has started asking me about the letter (her book is Japanese books, so I mean Japanese letters, Japanese alphabets), so naturally I have also been teaching her letters daily (now she can read approx 15-20 Japanese alphabets, she can write few simple words with them also), I mean spending an hour for her study daily as well as spending an hour for exercise daily. IF I didn't see Total Body sculpt with Gilad accidentally 2 months ago, I would never have been better mentally and physically now. I was so lucky. (so.. that's why doing some physical activity for health regularly is important, right?). Thanks Gilad!!!
