Pros: big straws, disposable, flexible
Cons: not individually wrapped
I have been using Glad Flexible Straws since I was a young girl (and that was some time ago!). When I was younger we called them bendy straws. No other straw would do, they had to be bendy straws or we didn’t want them. When I had children I purchased the Glad flexible straws for them too. When I got my wisdom teeth out, I purchased Glad flexible straws. Now that I am older my teeth are sensitive when I drink cold items so I use Glad flexible straws when drinking cold drinks.
Glad flexible straws are plastic straws that come in a 40 pack. The straws measure 8” long and 15/64” diameter. The flex part of the straw allows you to move the straw to the position you want or need to drink. The straws are clear with blue stripes. The straws are not individually wrapped.
I love the flexible straws because you can bend them how you want them. To me they are better to use then straight straws. For youngsters it makes it easier to use because they don’t have to move their glass to drink out of it with a flexible straw. With a straight straw they have to pick up the glass and bring it to them.
I usually use one straw a day, rinsing between drinks. My children sometimes use straws too, it depends on their mood. A 40 pack lasts us about a month or so. They are great to use when you have dental work too. The straws can be used for hot or cold drinks. I have never used a straw for hot drinks. The straws are waterproof and sanitary to use.
The Glad flexible straws come in a yellow box with the Glad logo printed on it. Glad also makes other products such as trash bags, storage bags and other sorts of bags and wraps. The Glad flexible straws can be found at most grocery stores with other paper products. I have also seen the flexible straws in a 24 count box. The 40 count box normally goes on sale for one dollar a box and I will stock up on a few boxes since they don’t go bad. Glad also puts coupons in the paper at times. If you wait for a sale and have coupons you can get the straws very cheap and maybe even free.
The Glad flexible straws are easy to use. You just need to take a straw out of the box and place it in your drink and suck. They are easy for young and old alike to use. When you are done using, you can rinse the straw out for later use or throw them away.
If you are in need of a straw or have children who like drinking with straws, I would recommend Glad Flexible Straws in the 40 pack.
