DVD player stopped working

Pros: Worked great for seven months. A/V inputs on front. Copies some DVD's to tape.

Cons: DVD part stopped functioning and tray won't stay closed when unit is on.

The Bottom Line: Tech support was rude. They also don't speak very good english and may not fully understand the problem. Website stated 1 yr warranty, but they said 90 days.

This unit worked great for 7 months and I liked the features it had. Then one day the DVD player stopped working. Whenever the unit is on, the tray stays open. Turn off the unit and the tray closes. The company said too bad, the warranty is for 90 days. It still works as a VCR but the tray stays open which is just going to get the rest of the unit dusty. The company did suggest cleaning the lens but that didn't work. The nearest repair center is over 100 miles away and it doesn't seem worth fixing. I will never buy another product from SonicBlue.
