Pros: Good price after rebates, takes up less space than both DVD and VCR
Cons: Remote Control has very little range, and there is no Fiber Audio output
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this system to friends who are on a tight budget and want a DVD and VCR combo.

I purchased this system because of the price, it was $99 after $45 in rebates. Compared to similar systems from JVC and Hitachi, the price was very good.
This unit is connected to a Dolby Digital Receiver, via Component Audio cable. There is no Fiber output for the Audio on the DVD player.
The connections are very easy to hook up, with standard jacks for the VCR and S-Video/Component level for the DVD Player. If you have just a TV, you can hook everything up through the VCR portion and watch either DVD or VHS tapes.
It auto programs the Time and has memory for Programs if the power goes out, a nice feature for those who record shows daily.
The VHS Player is a bit noisy, but nothing that is audible when watching TV.
The Remote Control leaves a bit to be desired, as the range is very short.
