Pros: The essential baking ingredient even when your not baking !
Cons: Not enough per package, but reasonably priced for value.
For less than $1.50 in many stores across my local area of Cleveland, this highly-concentrated cinnamon infused stick of incense is well worth it. There are 20 sticks per package that are wrapped inside a cellophane lining for freshness. Even through the gold coloured outside packing material is tough you can smell the fragrance come through quite boldly.
The rich, highly-fragrant scent Gonesh manufacturers go for is what is marked on the package no matter which scent you have chosen, you have absolutely chosen the best in incense. The highly concentrated oils infused with charcoal offer the most smoky but intense relaxing experience. It is quality that Gonesh has been producing for years.
The expensive gourmet food and wine shops still sell this product rather cheap because it does not take much to make one stick; although it has been seen by me in a more 'pricey category' like $3-4.oo per package of twenty, but this is rare. The incense is versatile and you receive the most value for your money. This is because for nearly three hours this incense as concentrated as it is, can affect the range of sense for nearly 3200 square feet. The aroma lingers long after the charcoal ember has burned all the way down and it is a pile of dust. It burns very slowly yet does not create an ash having so much residue that it ruins anything it falls on; however I do recommend using an incense ash holder.
This particular scent is perfect for every season but for the holidays is just something the aromatic senser, our noses, does not get enough of unless we are baking cinnamon rolls, buns, coffee cakes and breads . . . So if your not baking, it just might be that Gonesh Incense stick you bought.
The funny thing about the baking comparison is that with the incense, once lit, there is no oven to heat, no mess from mixing up ingredients with a mixer, nothing . . . it just requires a flame from a match or lighter held to the tip that is not the wooden part used for holding, and allowed to cause an ember. Blow the flame out and see the smoke swirl from the subtle energy moved when you lit it up.
As I said, twenty sticks per package that can last roughly two-three hours and if placed in a central area the entire room, the hall ways and creeping even into lower or upper levels of home depending on how well the air circulation is in your home, VERY EFFECTIVE ! An entire floor can be transformed into an exotic japanese garden.
There is a problem with over doing it and since these are the richest brand of incense you can buy, I choose to let them burn for about twenty minutes and then go leave the room, or floor it was on or even the house. When I come back a few hours later, the smell is still faint but I can re-light again for ambiance and not worry too much about staleness nor too overwhelming of a great sensation !
