Well I think I have finally felt the dread of many parents. The sound of your 5-year-old son crying because he has just wet the bed.
When I did hear this cry it was about 6:00 in the morning. I usually don't wake up until 6:45 or 7:00 in the morning. But, anyways, it is an unpleasant cry to hear any time of the day.
When i went to my son's room he was in tears and balling his eyes out because of a wet bed. I comforted him and removed his wet sheets and pajamas.
Once I threw my sons sheets and PJ's in the washing machine I had to think of a plan so this doesn't become a routine every morning. I did not want to put my son in a diaper each night because this might make him think he is being treated like a baby again. I did not want to put him in a Pull-Up because we are to far past the potty training stage. I was going to get my son some anyways until I found a better alternative.
So I'm at the grocery store in the diaper aisle looking through the thousands of Pull-Ups that are in stock. I was searching and then came across the Goodnites. I was in a hurry and threw them in the cart.
The Goodnites box states:
Look like underwear- I do agree with them for the most part, but not completely. I can remember Goodnites used to be plain white. Now they have these dull designs that make them look a lot like diapers. If they would get rid of the designs They might have me sold if the underwear was a solid white. The design for boys by the way is a BMX bike design. The girls design is a flower pattern. My son does not really notice or care about the designs.
Gender Specific- Goodnites are now gender specific for boys and girls where they need it most. I think you can figure out where these are most absorbent.
Long lasting- I do agree with Goodnites on this feature. These do last for hours on end. Once my son started wearing these leaks were never a problem. I even put him in Goodnites in the day one time to just see how long they last. The Goodnite lasted about 8 hours without a leak. I myself was quite amazed by this.
Sizing- Goodnites are very sized up well.
Medium-45-65 lbs.
Large-65-95 lbs.
Extra Large-95-125 lbs.
My son is currently in the medium stage.
Goodnites come in jumbo and mega size packages.
I am very pleased at the nighttime ability of Goodnites. They can go for a long time without needing to be changed. So finally, peace and quiet nights for our son and myself with Goodnites disposable underpants.
