Pros: Initially Soft and Quiet ride for the first 7500 miles.
Cons: Lower mpg. Two tires in first 7500 miles, Tire vibration at medium speeds
I purchased 4 new Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Tires for my Mercury Sable on the tire dealers recommendation. Initially, the tires road great with soft and quiet ride.
The problems started when I went in for the first rotation at 7500 miles. First a pull to the right, rotated the front tires, then a pull to the left, then multiple rebalances, and then replaced one tire, now a new pull. New tire was bad. Tires were very hard to balance correctly. It took seven trips to the tire dealer to rectify this set of problems. Now 5000 miles later, I have a vibration when the car is going between 25-40 mph and it smoothes out at higher speeds. Just to help my sanity, I moved the front tires to the rear and the rear to the front. Now the vibration is gone totally but the pull to the right is back. Now I'm getting ready to fight the tire store all over again. Since the tires are 10 months old and have about 12k miles on them, I do not thing they will be to helpful this time around. They should rename these tires "Bad Year Non-Assurance Discomfort-Wobble Tread" Tires. After 3 tries with Good Year tires on 3 different cars of the years, sorry Good Year but three strikes and youre out! No more of you products for me and my family.
