I purchased these tires new 1 1/2 years ago. After 15,000 miles, I got a bad vibration. The mechanic stated one tire he could not make balanced, and Goodyear replaced it. Now, after a long trip and 35,000 miles on the van I have a severe vibration...guess what? ALL FOUR TIRES OUT OF ROUND. This is defect that the Goodyear rep told my mechanic is happening to the earlier Assurance tires. The Goodyear rep informed my mechanic that the newer Assurance tires do not have this "problem" anymore.

I balance and rotate my tires every other oil change which is 7,000 miles and had documentation to show them. Now, GOODYEAR will not replace these tires, but will pro-rate them for me so I have to pay 1/2 the cost for 4 defective tires!! The vibration also caused my rack and pinion to loosen up (as the front wheel drive van tires were pulling in opposite directions at times) causing $800 worth of damage.
I need my car to get to work, so I paid for the tires ($50) each and sent a complaint to Goodyear. So far no answer.
I am very disappointed. I have read many websites and blogs about the same problem as mine on the vibrations and Goodyear will still not admit to a problem. I heard Goodyear cannot afford a recall especially in this time of poor car sales and slumping economy, I guess the loyal consumer (me, having purchased "aquatred 3s before these and totally satisfied) will suffer, but in the end Goodyear will lose a large customer base.
