ummmm, some nice Indonesian pickles and a bit of Rijstaafel would hit the spot about now. And a San Miguel, or maybe a 33?
Cheers...

Not everything... (Reply to this comment)

I was once of the opinion, like you, that just about anything pairs well with spicy food (mmmm, a nice Thai dish) until my son went on his 5 month "pickle phase". I'll just go on the record now and say that pickles do not pair well with spicy food.
Here's to summer's first beer!

Oh, I get it - sort of like a beer rinse. Good thing about Coors for that purpose is you don't need to add water to thin it...

Coors has its place. You see, pouring beer over your head makes the hair quite shiny, and since Coors is cheap and I don't want to drink it, I don't lament the loss as it runs down the drain. I could write a review of it based on that experience, but the R&G community might not be interested in my beauty tips.

Well, if you mix in a little gin it all goes down a lot better. Doesn't need to be wheat beer, though - any lager'll do.

Ummm, did you just say "Coors" on a beer review? Wash your mouth out with soap, young lady!
Thanks for stoppin' by...

I think mixing wheat beers with bitter lemon or lemonade (half and half) complements mowing the yard on a hot summer day! Ahhhhhh.

Wheat beers may not be so complex, but who wants complex when you're mowing the lawn or composting your garden? Beers like this are ideal when you just want something cold and refreshing, but aren't about to buy Coors.

No idea, Bryan. I haven't been more than 200 miles from Chicago in months, so I certainly haven't had the chance to check; and there's nothing on their website about distribution. They have three breweries in Chicago now, so perhaps they're getting a little less "regional."

I generally like anything from Goose Island and I'm sure this beer is every bit as good as you describe it. But do you know if it is going to be distributed in many states? I can get Goose Island's Summerfest locally, but I haven't seen this one at the stores.
