Pros: can be used on surfaces that aren't smooth like brick and wood
Cons: heavy roll slight odor not easy to remove
The Bottom Line: Gorilla Tape is good for brick, masonry, plaster and wood. It's tough and still tears off the roll easily. I like it in addition to duct tape.

I have found Gorilla products to be tough and strong. I use their glue and on the job site we use this 2" X 1260" roll of Gorilla Tape. Just so you don't have to do the math. That means it's a 35 Yard roll. The roll is a 6" circle that is 2" wide.
More Gorilla Facts
First thing, it's thick. You know immediately that this is different than duct tapes, gaffers tape, electrical and other such specialty and "fix it all" tapes.
This is different than most tapes that have a backing with a thin layer of some kind of adhesive. This has a strong re-enforced backing that's black in colour and has a measurable layer of adhesive on it. It's much thicker than most tapes on the market. This adhesive helps this tape hold on surfaces that most tapes won't like brick, masonry and wood, including trees! The extra adhesive fills those tiny cracks and crevices and uses them for more holding power.
pops thoughts and experience
This stuff is good inside and out and though it's not totally waterproof I found it does hold better in wet areas. The surface it's mounted on, however, must be dry.
Though the directions say to use Gorilla Tape at room temperature I have found it works better than duct tape at colder temperatures. At work we don't always have prime conditions which is why this tape may be better suited to the pro because it is expensive. This is also the kind of product some of the guys I know, who always like the best, use, whether at work or home.
This tape though is tough to remove. It will take off paint and be careful of wood finishes too. It also has a slight odor. It does dissipate after a short while.
What I do like is that this holds on porous surfaces where other tapes won't. That doesn't mean, however, that I can just stick it on. It's always best to get rid of loose particles and dust.
Gorilla tape also tears easily even though the weave is extremely tight. I like the stuff and If I had to choose Gorilla Tape or duct tape...I would have to cheat and take both!
