I wasn't able to get to Sally Beauty Supply for my favorite Beyond the Zone hairspray so I picked up a can of Got2b  Glued Blasting Freeze Spray - Screaming Hold at WalMart. This spray is supposed to hold any style in place. It's good but unless I use a lot of it, it's just medium hold hairspray.

This spray comes in a 12 ounce yellow aerosol can with a pump top that looks like one of those things that blasts a loud sound when pushed. It doesn't. It just sprays the hairspray in a fine mist. The scent is mild and pleasant.

My Experience

I have straight hair - or I did. Suddenly, my hair's wavy unless I blow dry it straight and use a flat iron. I decided to go with the wave for a while and needed something strong to hold my style.

I saw Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray and it seemed to be what I needed, if not a bit much. I  didn't want to freeze my hair stiff, just lock in the style. 

I washed and styled my hair then used this spray under the layers and on the top of my hair. It added volume and didn't get crunchy because I didn't overuse it. My hair didn't feel sticky and it stayed in place nicely. But after a few hours, I saw my scrunched waves slipping away. My hair looked messy, not styled.

I used more of this spray the next time and it held better but made my hair stiff and slick. I now use it as a general purpose hairspray and one that adds some lift and volume underneath my layers. I like it but I thought it would basically plaster my style into place and hold it that way until I washed my hair. If I applied the spray very heavily, it would but it wouldn't look or feel very good.

It does wash out well and doesn't seem to dry out my hair.

You can buy Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray - Screaming Hold at drugstores and mass-market stores on and offline. I paid around $4.50 for the can.

The Verdict

Used lightly or even moderately, Got2b Glued Blasting Freeze Spray is a volumnizing spray that adds hold but doesn't last all day. Used heavily, it will lock a style into place but hair will be stiff, crunchy, and slick. I like it but I will get my beloved Beyond the Zone spray next time. It's perfect for my hair. I give this spray 4 stars though because it will do what it says if you spray liberally.
