Pros: The great thing about the Graco Cozy Toddler Bed is the price.
Cons: Plastic splits, wood supporters warp easily
The Bottom Line: Great for the price but would highly recommend a wood or metal for our growing toddlers.

| Dreamlander's Full Review: Graco Cozy Toddler Bed 8840 |
The Graco Cozy Toddler bed is one of the best priced toddler beds out there. You know what I mean if you have been shopping around for one.So, patiently I waited for the sale at the local K-mart and bought two toddler beds at $59.99 each. One for my 2 year old son (at the time) and another for my 1 year old daughter (at the time). The original price I believe was $79.99. When I first purchased them I was impressed with how light they were. This is important for me as a parent because it seems I am always rearranging their room. They are very easy to assemble simply fitting the plastic pieces together. The bed uses a standard crib matress also which makes it easy when you are upgrading from a baby crib.
The best features of the Graco bed is the price. The second is that the bed is unisex and can be for a boy or a girl. The plastic seems durable but I will get to that in the next paragraph. The color is white, pretty basic. I have to tell you that when I had these beds in the room for the first 3 months, I just adored them. My children were young and the beds were still new.
But children grow up!
When you start shopping for toddler beds the first thing that enters your mind is "How long will this last?" I can answer this question for you. This particular bed looks and feels sturdy but it is not. The plastic has split and the wood underneath the matress (that helps hold the matress up) is warping. My children are one year older from the mentioned ages above and their beds look like they are 5 years older. It's not the beds fault of course, they have been through alot. My son climbs on his, jumps on it, and can turn it over, because it is so light. Now kids will be kids and of course I have tried to teach my children the value of caring for their things but the bed isn't going to make it through all of this torture. It has almost become a hazard to have in the room because of the splitting plastic.
Now when I bought these two toddler beds, I imagined they would last for at least a few years, until the children needed bunk beds or full beds (or their feet starts hanging out the ends) which ever comes first. But my expectations were not met with the Graco Cozy Sleeper. I believe that the Graco Company knows that beds will go through alot being made for toddlers and the durability should be a little better.
Overall, this bed is great, but why not spend a little extra and buy a more durable toddler bed for your child that will last him/her throughout their toddler years. Happy shopping.....
