A great chair for baby!
Written: Jun 10 '03
Pros:Sturdy, safe, easy to use and to clean.
Cons:More costly than other high chairs on the market.
The Bottom Line: A safe, durable, comfortable, easy to use and clean high chair.
This high chair was given to me as a gift and it is the best high chair I have ever used.
This chair is very sturdy and durable. The legs are stationary and never move around in a fashion that makes the chair wobbly or unstable in any other way.
The chair has a guard around the front of the seat as well as a buckle for baby. So, if something happens to the buckle, the parent can still feel confident that the baby is safe in the seat. There is also plenty of room for the baby to sit back in the seat, so that he never appears to teeter at the edge of the seat, appearing perilously close to falling to the ground if the safety devices should fail.
This chair is also padded well, which makes it appear comfortable for baby. Also, the padding is made with an easy to wipe off material, making for a quick, easy clean up. This padding is also easily removable so the parent can clean underneath the padding if food should fall between the seat and the padding (or if it should be purposely placed there by a curious baby).
The tray of the chair has three compartments on the outer edge. These compartments are convenient for the parent to place food that is to be spoon fed to the baby while he is still young. As baby grows older, these compartments are fun places for baby to place his food and his cup. My babies enjoy piling up their food in these compartments and placing their sippy cups inside the cup holder compartment.
Other food placement areas can be found underneath the outer edge of the tray. This is a plastic compartment that can be pulled out for use and pushed back in when feeding time is over.
I am not sure how much this high chair cost, because it was given to me as a gift. I do, however, think that it was over $100. There are certainly less expensive high chairs on the market, but this one is worth the cost for the convenience, ease of use, safety and comfort of baby.
