Yes this bed was sturdy, well sturdy enough as a plastic bed can be. And yes it was fun with the glow in the dark and the stars. But my daughter got her little finger pinched a couple times with this. At the head board area there was a space that when she slept if she tossed enough and got right in the perfect position it would pinch her little finger. She woke up many a nights crying over this. She no longer uses this I returned it and told then the whole thing. Emailed Graco about it so they would know. It was one of the cheaper ones so I guess you get what you pay for but you should not have to risk your child getting hurt for any thing at all. I liked it because I could use her baby bed mattress so that was one less thing I had to buy. I also liked the glow in the dark. It is kind of like a night light that will go off after a while. I really dont like night lights since they get so hot and then can start a fire if it got to that. And this was a nice thing instead of using a night light. Another thing I was not really happy about was you had to let it soak of light to work. If I kept my daughters light off in her room till it was time for bed it was very dim and not useful. She is now in a big girls bed. I find it better for her.
