First off, I noticed on the description page that Epinions has the estimated price for this bed at $98.98. That price is WAY off. I bought this bed for my little angel on Wednesday, and before the $10.00 coupon I had, it was only going to cost $69.99. Toys R Us has these $10 off coupons for toddler beds until mid October, so I only paid $59.99 + tax.
On to the good stuff! I had seen this bed in reviews on this site, and immediately knew my daughter would love it. Wednesday afternoon, we went out together and bought it. I showed it to her before we bought it to make sure she would like it, and low and behold the head was a nod up and down rather than side to side. Good start eh?
We get the bed home, and whaddya know? It's a piece of cake to put together! I myself (a non-handy woman) was able to get the bed set up in less than 45 minutes. It was bit awkward at times, seeing as how I was doing this solo, but I managed quite well. (Am I promoting the bed or myself here?)
My daughter went to sleep in it at night, and was out within minutes. She said her prayers, and said goodnight to the moon and the stars. She usually stays up talking to everything for a while, but with this bed, she watches the stars and the moon glow. By the time the glow fades, she's out. Where DID this invention come from????
This bed has some really nice features. There are side rails on both sides. Of course the stars and moon on the headboard glow for about 20 minutes after lights out. It fits a standard size crib mattress. It was easily assembled. It's kid (Emily) approved. It's inexpensive.
I think this bed is kind of feminine, so probably wouldn't be too cool for a boy. But I think it's perfect for a little girls room. If you're looking for a good toddler bed, look no further, you've found it.
