| jadp1's Full Review: Graco Glow-in-the Dark Toddler Bed |
I bought this crib with the thought that the glow in the dark moon and stars would create a bed that my daughter would want to sleep in. For the most part I wasn't all that wrong. She really likes the fact her bed glows right above her head. Even helps with the whole "mommy leave the light on!" issue. It fit my crib mattress so I didn't have to spend the extra cash on a new mattress, which is definitely a plus.
We have had this bed for a year, and in that year it has withstood all the normal toddler behavior. I do have one complaint. The bed has removable side rails. While I understand some might take this as a good thing, that wasn't the case for us. My daughter was in her bed and sort of shaking the side bed rail. When she easily unsnapped the rail from the bed and flipped (literally) right out onto the floor. She survived but if she would have landed any differently she could have broken her arm I'm sure.
So while I do like this bed for the most part, I'm not convinced detachable side rails are a good thing. Not that this has happened to everyone, I'm sure some people have had no trouble. I'm just saying it happened to me so please be careful.
Overall, the price isn't bad compared to other toddler beds. And I do like and trust the Graco name.
