This is the best swing I could have ever gotten! First off, it is almost three years old and is still in perfect working condition! This may sound ridiculous to mention, but I honestly feel this shows just how sturdy it is. . . My husband was upset one time (about a good two years ago) and looked for the first thing to toss through the air. Yes, you guessed it. . . The poor swing happened to be within his wake and he tossed it a full eight feet (You would believe me once you saw his stature!) And to this day, it is still in its best condition ever! Besides it using batteries, having a extremely quiet effect, and soothing the most colicky baby. . . It is open top! It is so easy to put baby in and to take baby out! (And without bumping her head!) I use it for my new baby now and it does work wonders.
