All the baby products are very overwhelming when having a baby, and with the large selection of travel systems I am sure most new moms think it a necessity as I did before my daughter was born. These are the pros and cons of this travel system.

Pros: Great Laura Ashley style with the upstanding name of Graco. As an infant carrier whether purchased in the travel system or alone, I believe that Graco is the Gold Standard of infant car seats. To support that opinion, many of the latest infant recalls which have consumed most of the car seat manufacturers, Graco's issues have been extremely minute.
Cons: The stroller is large and collapses with a large surface area. I personally drive a large SUV and the stroller still infringes upon my trunk space, so especially if you drive a compact/midsize vehicle, you may become frustrated with the lack of trunk space. Especially that you may need to fill it with boxes of diapers, wipes, formula, etc. I would have personally gone with the infant carrier and bought a glorified umbrella stroller when my daughter was too big. The infant carriers usually are under $80.00, so it also makes it much more cost effective. If your home is like mine, we have a jogging stroller, and umbrella stroller, this travel system, and other mobile things such as a Baby Bjorn and a shopping cart cover. Of all these things the stroller from the travel system gets the least use. As a matter of fact the one major time it was used to fly with and part of the locks were busted by the airlines. Go with the separate carrier and forgo the stroller.
