Pros: Pretty fabric, great price, high safety rating
Cons: Canopy is a little flimsy, lining and fabric could be more plush.
When we found out we were having a girl after already having a boy, I wanted to go all out and get pink girly things. I researched car seats and found that the Graco SnugRide was highly rated so I started looking into it more, including going on the Graco website and checking them out in stores. This seat has the EPS foam which is meant to be safer in a crash. It comes in many different prints which are available to purchase at different stores, all listed on the Graco site. The Josephine was available at Target, both online and in-store. It has been a great purchase, I've already gotten many complements on it. The lining is removable and easy to wash. There is a retractable canopy you can use if you're outside. The handle moves up and down to use as a carrier. The seat is probably better for a baby born in spring/summer as it doesn't come with a built in sleeping bag like the more expensive models do. But the seat could work in winter if you bundle baby up in blankets. The padding could be a little more plush, but it's good for summer as it doesn't over-heat baby. It installs easily into the car using a seat belt or the LATCH system. For the short time you use the seat (until they're 22lbs), it's a great price.
